Recognition

Updated quarterly, the loose-leaf manual Odutola on Canadian Trade-mark Practice, published by Thomson Carswell is an industry standard used by practitioners, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the Courts. For instance, in the 2006 judgment of Attorney General (Quebec) v. St-Germain Transport (1994) Inc., the Court cited with approval our manual to exempt an unregistered trade-mark from the French language requirements of the Quebec Charter of the French Language.

Recognition by the Law Society of Upper Canada, the professional body that regulates lawyers in Ontario, as one of the few dual certified specialists in IP Law (Trade-mark/copyright).
